Floor drainage
Our stainless steel floor drains come in compact sizes and are used for water collection while meeting sanitary standards. They feature a debris basket for filtering and a hydro-lock system to prevent unwanted fumes from backflowing through the drain.
Are these floor drains compatible with the STAINLESS series of linear drains?
These floor drains are made of the same material and follow the same design guidelines as our STAINLESS series of linear drains. However, these floor drains are designed as standalone systems that cannot connect with linear drains directly. They instead can be connected through underground piping and are used quite often in combination with our STAINLESS linear drains for a complete drainage system in large scale facilities.
Are these food-safe?
These floor drains are made fully of 304 stainless steel, allowing them to be used in food-safe and sanitary environments. The additional components including hydro-locks, debris baskets, and pedestrian-safe grating make them the perfect solution for food processing applications.
What if I need other sizes?
The options listed on this page are the products we keep in stock, but we can also offer other sizes as special order products. We also have the ability to manufacture custom designs or sizes based on your exact requirements. If this is of interest to you, please reach out to a Vodaland representative.
Material
All metal used in these products is made of 304 stainless steel. These products can also be manufactured in 316 stainless steel by special request. Rubber gaskets are also used in these products and are considered food-safe.
Load class
The load class of these products differ depending on size. The 6" x 6" floor drain is only able to withstand pedestrian traffic, while our 10" x 10" floor drain is able to withstand commercial loads.
Outlet size
Both floor drain options feature 4" outlets that can connect with a variety of types of piping. You will likely require a rubber coupling to make this connection.
Hydro-lock
The hydro-lock is designed to fit within the floor drain and act similar to a P-trap. It keeps a small portion of water within the floor drain to prevent any unwanted fumes from re-entering the facility from the piping. This component is a benefit to creating a fully food-safe facility.
Debris basket
The debris basket sits above the hydro-lock and prevents any large debris from continuing through the system. This will prevent the risk of blockages in your piping, and also allows for a much easier cleaning of the drains.
Grating
Our gratings for these floor drains are designed for safe use with frequent pedestrian traffic. The 10x10 grating can also handle heavier-duty loads and is designed to allow forklift tires to go over without issue.
